Shady Acres Village serves down-home country cooking for lunch from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. This locally owned establishment is also a garden center and gift shop. Located at 624 US 49, Seminary, MS.

Old Watermill Fish Camp is owned by Scott Haigler and is a local landmark. This restaurant has been in the family for decades and serves up some of the best coleslaw and hush puppies you can find. They are open from 4:30 pm until 9:00 pm Tuesday-Friday. Located at 195 Old Mill Rd, Ellisville, MS.

John Earl’s is another family business that’s been a cornerstone in the Rainey community for decades. They sell fuel, hot meals, ice cream, gifts, and groceries. Hot meals served from 6 am to 6 pm daily. Located at 1107 Moselle-Seminary Rd, Moselle, MS.

Magnolia Beef is owned by our friends, the Stringer family. They have a large farm where they raise cows and chickens. Their storefront in Seminary sells fresh cut beef, grab & go lunches, and gift items. They are open Tuesday-Friday 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday 10 am to 2 pm. Located at 119 Main Street, Seminary, MS.

Lea’s Nursery is a new business adventure started by our friend Tim Eavenson. Located at 280 Daughtry Rd, Seminary, MS. They carry a nice variety of plants. Call and make sure they are open before visiting at 601-516-1312

Keith’s Superstore is a gas station and gift shop located at 2078 US 49, Seminary, MS 39479. If you stop by make sure and pick up a couple jars of delicious Mickle’s Pickles.

Sole Sisters is a shoe store and more! Located at 248 US 49, Seminary, MS 39479. Besides shoes they also sell botique clothing and toys. Open Monday-Saturday 10 am to 5 pm.

Country Time Fruit Stand & More is located at 7760 US 49 N, Hattiesburg, MS. They sell fresh produce, food, and gifts.

European Antique Auction Gallery is a family owned business that features the largest, ever changing inventory of fine antiques in the southeast. They are located at 45 Bullock Rd, Seminary, MS.

~ACTIVITIES~

Okatoma Canoe Rental – You’ve come to the right place for Canoe and Kayak Rentals on Mississippi’s Okatoma Creek. They offer complimentary transportation up river for a leisurely float back to your vehicle. With 3 1/2 miles river frontage they have plenty of room for camping and a new shower facility in their NEW STORE when you return. They are located on the banks of the river at the Sanford bridge.

Hattiesburg-Okatoma KOA – Sixty acres of tranquil southern beauty await at this new KOA, where you can cast a line at three fishing lakes or stroll along wooded walking paths in a peaceful bird haven. Healing House Yoga – Amanda Felarise became a practitioner in 2001 and took her first certification in 2004. Her passion for yoga grew and she went on with Shanti Yoga Training School and her teacher Nathalie Croix where she completed both her 200 and 300 hour yoga teacher training through Yoga Alliance. She’s been teaching since 2004. She’s a 500 E-RYT. She’s also a certified Kids Yoga Teacher with Groovy Kids Yoga and a certified Aromatherapist Teacher.

XapaStudio – (From her website) Hi! I’m Andrea and I’m the potter behind Xapa Studio (pronounced ‘zapa’). I studied Art at the University of Southern Mississippi from 2005-2007 where I got my bachelor degree. I taught art at a high school level for about 4 years before coming home after having my first child.

My husband, being the wonderful man that he is, knew that I had always wanted to work in ceramics, but couldn’t afford the initial startup cost. He found a wheel and a kiln on craigslist for a reasonable amount, bought it and hid it for over 6 months and surprised me for Christmas in 2017.
